100 | 232430 | 72430507 | Another game I played on recommendation, this time paid for. At least it was on sale and bundled with Tacoma, which has a review of its own. Gone Home has an interesting premise: you come home and everyone's missing so you have to go find out why. The graphics are ok and the setting is conveniently set in an old mansion during a stormy night, so the creepy factor is a 10/10. But this is not a horror game. Still, it makes the exploration keep you on your toes. There's lots of story to go around based on the lives of the multiple residents in the household, with plenty of spaces to investigate and items to observe or gather. Where this game falls short is the extremely slow pace your character walks, with no option to run. This makes the exploration less fun, especially if you're coming from the attic all the way down to the ground floor. I don't understand the "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews since Gone Home seems like any other FPS, except without shooting. Whatever. So, I may not have completed all the achievements in this game but I don't plan on playing it again just for it. | 2021-03-14T05:52:11.747993 | 1 | 1 |
